The average number of residents in US nursing homes is around 95 per facility. Each nursing home resident receives on average three and a half hours of nursing care every day. Registered nurses provide around 30 minutes of care to each resident daily while licensed practical and licensed vocational nurses provide a little over 40 minutes of care.
